Double-crown(forging); Durable Design; Rebound Damping Adjustment and Air Pressure adjustment on one side; Compression Damping Adjustment and Air Pressure adjustment on the other side; Oil damping with Internal Floating Piston and Internal Long Coil Spring on both sides make these forks service friendly.

There are some issues to consider when fitting these forks to your frame/bike.

The stem is a little thinner and taller than there 2005 counterparts on many bikes, the stem is designed mainly for (tapered roller bearings) which from factory have the correct (id) and a matching (od) for the newer 06 type frames on the market with a larger head-tube. As of yet we have not found the bearings with the exact id, od for fitment to 04-05 xsport/crf/ 41 mill od frames,(they need to be custom made) so here are the alternatives.

You can knock the steerer tube from your standard/old forks and press it into the bottom clamps of the X-rosins then you will be able to fit the forks with your standard bearings and castle nut etc.

Another way to do it is -
crf tapered roller bearings will fit the X-rosin stem but will be sloppy as they are point 5 of a mill larger than the xrosin stem top and bottom. this can be taken up by using metal tape and increasing the size of the stem where the bearings sit but its a bodge.

The axle for for the X-rosins are 15mm thick so you will need new wheel bearings to fit your wheel.
Xsport front wheels have the right id of 15mm to fit straight on but other wheels do not so you will need to purchase a set of bearings with the code 6301=6202 for your wheel.
With some wheels like on the puma the wheel bearings have a slightly different od to most so you will need od of 32mm and id of 15mm the code for these bearings are and 6201=6002

You will also need to make yourself some wheel spacers from steel tubing so that the front disc is 14mm from caliper mount on the forks to the face of the front disc.

The front brake caliper mount holes on the X-rosin forks are slightly different to normal ones as well so you will need to purchase the correct system or will need to modify your existing caliper mount to suite.

All in all these are very good forks for the money and the action of the forks are super smooth and lovely to handle. The rebound and compression adjusters are easy to use, work very well and are easy to set up to your preferred riding style and what the conditions and terrain offer up.
