Carlos Campano, former MX3 World Champion, won both motos of the last round of Superliga Brazil Motocross Championship and grabbed his first title in Brazil during the 15th July weekend. The race was held at Beto Carrero World, Penha, Santa Catarina, track which hosted the fifth MXGP of the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championship.

After going 1-1, Campano dedicated his victory to his Brazilian friend and teammate, João “Marronzinho” Paulino, who had passed away on 26th June, while he was training with the Spanish rider.

“This title is to a big friend, Marronzinho, who left us too early”, said Campano. “I’m happy with the result and satisfied to reach the top for Yamaha Grupo Geração Monster Energy Circuit”.

Before the last round, Campano had 29 points advantage over British Adam Chatfield. The Spanish obtained the title already after the first moto with a consistent victory. Nevertheless, he went for another victory in the second moto and won his ninth race out of twelve motos raced in the championship.
