I love Andrew McFarlane.
Andrew became our friends.
Andrew & Natalie became my families friends.
I was heavily involved in bringing him over to the USA.
I was at YOT at the time.
Andrew was a Champions Champion.
In each and every sense of the word.
Andrew was anal about everything.
I'm anal about everything.
At 1st, the 2 of us butted heads some, but the mutual respect was clear
as day.
We became good friends. The World Class racer I brought over here to
help front our team was more than just a great racer. He was organized, poised, and serious. He knew what he wanted. He was a great asset for us due to his testing skills as well. Friendly as hell too. Always willing to help the others too.
I'll never forget that speacial day at the '06 Hangtown Outdoor National when both our guys Andrew McFarlane and Brett Metcalfe climbed up on the podium. That was huge!
If you knew the story you'd know why, and Andrew was a huge part of that memorable day, a day that remains special to me still. I had a tear in my eyes that day!
I have tears in my eyes now too.
I'm heart broken, we're heart broken.
I was out walking my dogs when I got the call.
I called several mutual friends to see if it was so.
My whole families hearts go out to Natalie McFarlane and family.
I don't know what else to say. I'm numb.
I'm going to miss my down under friend. Andrew was real.
But I'll remember him well, cause that's how Andrew and family rolled.
I love Andrew McFarlane.
